Professional Photographers Association of Slovak republic (PPASR) is a civil Association founded on June, 25, 2007 and associated professional and active photographers. PPASR is equal partner to the others artistic and professional associations, registrated on July 2, 2007.
Supreme body of PPASR is Members meeting, composed on all members of association and organized at least once a year. President and two vicepresidents are voted by two thirds majority. Controller votes Members meeting by simple majority. About membership in association must decide Commission for application procedure, composed of seven members. To the objectives of PPASR belongs presentation of Slovak photographic Art and encouraging public to interest on this type of Art. Professional organisation is appropriate form for cooperation with local and international publishers of magazines and books dedicated to photography as well. PPASR supports participation of members on exhibitions, workshops and seminars. At least once a year organises members public exhibition. For the first time presented its members in Gallery “Pod vežou” in Bratislava on October, 11, 2007.
The longterm objective of PPASR is to establish archive of Slovak photography as a part of cultural heritage of country.
PPASR as member of FEP, Federation of European professional Photographers, has started with presentation and support of Slovak photography on European level. Narrowly cooperates with FEP and supports opportunity to gain European certificate, QEP. Cooperation brought success after few months, when at the end of the May three members of PPASR, Filip Kulisev, Ivan Caniga and Martin Vrabko, gained QEP labels.
PPASR is professional association of outstanding personalities, which extend good image of Slovak photography throughout the world. Art of photography is mission for them.
