Objectives

Objectives of PPASR

1. To establish professional organisation, which supports presentation of Slovak photography at home and abroad.
2. To maintain in public awareness about members and their perfomance by website with portfolio of photographies and links on their personal websites.
3. To inform about prices and conditions of sales of photographies on Slovak and European market.
4. To start dialogue with partners associations in other countries, especially with Czech association. PPASR is member of FEP - Federation of European Professional Photographers.
5. To start cooperation with foreign publishers of magazines, books dedicated to photography.
6. To start cooperation with prominent photo- and IT firms.
7. To organize special events connected with art of photography in Slovakia and abroad – fairs, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, contests...
8. To support members by applying for prestigeous QEP label – Qualified European Photographer (fee for application for QEP doesn´t include in member´s fee). Three members of PPASR, Filip Kulisev, Ivan Caniga and Martin Vrabko, already gained QEP labels.
9. To maintain legal protection of members.
10. To obtain funding from sponsorship and 2% of income tax.
11. To strenghten possibility for education activities and to keep contact with modern trends in art of photography.
12. To create online database of all members.
13. To establish archive of Slovak photography as a part of cultural heritage of country.
