Photographer and explorer Filip Kulisev, Master QEP is a respected personality among the young generation of Slovak photographers.
In 2001, he founded a company „Amazing Planet“ specialised in the creation of exclusive interior pictures, calendars, books and DVDs. Furthermore, Filip provided material for more than 150 individual exhibitions in Slovakia and abroad, in many places like Vienna, Budapest, Prague, Brussels, Sydney, Washington, Cleveland, Vancouver, Monaco, Rome, Malta or with permanent outdoor exhibitions in the Caribbean Island: Salt Cay.
International recognition for him was achieved by capturing spectacular landscapes on all continents in a technically impeccable form, composing with a sense of balance and interplay of shadow and light. His great sense of detail was rewarded by many other prizes
In November 2010, he was awarded and received „Master QEP“ title, knowing that it has been delivered to only two photographers in the world.. The title of Master QEP (Qualified European Professional Photographer) is the highest qualification award in Europe reserved for professional photographers who have shown impressive skills in their work. According to international jury, Filip Kulisev has reached an exceptionally high standard, demonstrating exceptional technical and artistic excellence within the image making profession.
Filip is author of three exclusive monographies. The first one was published in 2006. His second monography, 100 Wonders, released in 2009, raised great attention. He presented 100 of the most beautiful places in the world and showed that, despite expanding human activity, there are still on Earth virgin sites worth protecting as heritage for future generations.
As on of his supporters, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, addressed following words: “Through the beauty and purity of his images, Filip Kulisev gives substance to the treasures that we too often turn our backs on, and that risk disappearing tomorrow due to our shameful inaction. At the end of 2010, his third book, Amazing Planet, was released. This publication is an extended version of „100 Wonders“ and introduces 111 of the most amazing spots on Earth, including all continents and a great diversity of landscapes – from glaciers, mountain lakes, deserts, oceans, and canyons, to hardly accessible places in national parks throughout the world. This unique monograph of 624 pages provides more than 500 pictures of various formats including maps and is translated into 15 different languages.
Filip Kulisev, Master QEP is also Founder and Vice-president of the Association of Professional Photographers of Slovak Republic (APFSR) which helps to promote Slovak photographers abroad.
